Digital goods (codes, top-ups, downloads)
Sell redeem codes, accounts, phone top-ups and downloads in the shop and online; codes are delivered right after payment by email, on the order page, the receipt link and the printed receipt.
Digital goods are things the customer gets without a parcel: game and gift card codes, accounts (username + password), phone or game top-ups, or a download. LiteShop keeps your codes safe, gives each sale its own code, and delivers it as soon as the payment is confirmed.
Selling digital items works on every plan. Free delivers up to 50 codes a month (the number in Settings → Plan), shows codes on the order page, the receipt link and the printed receipt, and lets buyers leave a note. Plus and up add automatic emails, Email receipt and your own questions for the buyer.
#Make a digital item
When to use: you sell something that has no stock to count.
- Open Items and tap the item (or Add item).
- In Digital item, switch on Digital item.
- Choose How the customer gets it: - Codes: you import a list of codes or accounts. Each sale takes the next unused code. - By staff: for top-ups and services. The order goes to To deliver and a staff member does it. - Download link: every buyer gets the same file or link. After saving the item, tap Upload file (PDF, ZIP, EPUB, MP3, MP4, pictures, text or Office files, up to 50 MB) — buyers get a private download link that works for a few days — or paste a link instead (stored encrypted, shown only after payment). A file and a link replace each other.
- Tap Save.
Digital items have no batches and no stock count: for Codes the stock is the number of unused codes.
#Import codes
When to use: you bought codes, accounts or keys to sell.
- Open Items → Digital goods → Items & codes (or the item's Digital item section).
- Tap Import codes.
- In What each code has, list the values of one code, separated by commas: for example
Code, orUsername, Password, PIN. - Choose Paste (one code per line, values separated by a tab,
|or a comma), CSV (the text of a CSV file; a column namedexpirysets each code's expiry date) or One by one. - Optional: an Expiry date like
2026-12-31. Codes that expire first are sold first. - Check the preview (codes ready, duplicates skipped, lines with problems) and tap Import.
Codes already in the list are skipped. View codes shows them hidden (••••AB12): unused, sold, expired, voided or revoked. You can Void unused codes, for example a broken one.
Alert me when codes fall to sends an alert when the list runs low. Customers who paid while the list was empty get their codes automatically as soon as you import more.
#Deliver by staff (top-ups, services)
When to use: someone has to do something by hand: a phone top-up, a game top-up, an account to create.
- Open Digital goods → To deliver (every staff member can see it; late ones are red).
- Tap the order. You see what the customer asked for, for example the phone number to top up.
- Do the top-up or service.
- Tap Deliver, write what you delivered (a code, a login, or "Topped up 10,000 Ks"), add a note or a screenshot if you like.
- Tap Mark delivered. The customer sees it on the receipt link or order page, and by email on Plus and up.
Try again gives waiting orders their codes after you imported more.
#Questions for the buyer
When to use: you need details to deliver, like a game user ID, a server or a phone number.
- Open the item → Digital item → Add a question.
- Write the question in English and Myanmar, choose the Answer type (text, number, phone number, email, choose from a list) and whether it is Required.
- Optional: a Help text ("Find it in the game under Profile") and, under Advanced, a format such as
[0-9]{8,10}(8 to 10 digits).
The website and the register ask these questions, and orders can't be placed without the required answers. Questions are on Plus and up; on Free the buyer can leave a note (Let the buyer add a note).
#Online orders
On your website and on the LiteShop marketplace, digital items need the buyer's email (and your questions). A cart with only digital items has no pickup or delivery and no delivery fee; a mixed cart pays delivery for the physical items only. When a Codes item has no codes left it shows Out of stock and can't be ordered beyond the codes left (unless your store allows backorders: then the order waits for new codes). Digital items carry a Digital badge on your store and on the marketplace, and the marketplace shows Out of stock for them too.
- The customer orders and pays (QR, bank transfer, wallet…).
- You check the payment and tap Payment received in Online orders.
- LiteShop gives out the codes right away (or puts By staff items in To deliver). The customer gets an email (Plus and up) and the codes on the order page under Show my codes.
Cash on delivery is off for digital-only orders, so codes never go out before the money. Owners can allow it in Digital goods → settings.
Payment links (Send to customer): the customer fills in their email and the item's questions on the payment page (what you already typed shows there masked, and they can change it). They can't pay until it's done. After you confirm the payment, the same link shows the codes.
#Sell in the shop
- Add the digital item to the cart like any item (search or scan).
- Under the item, tap Digital · Add customer email (or Customer details needed) and fill in the email, phone and the item's questions.
- Tap Charge and take the payment.
- The receipt prints the codes (when Print codes on the receipt is on for the item), also on the receipt on screen, the shared receipt picture and the PDF; the receipt link and QR show them too. With an email, LiteShop also emails them (Plus and up).
Out of codes? The register says so before charging. By staff items go to To deliver.
Offline, the sale is saved and the codes are given out when it syncs; the receipt says "Code will be emailed / printable after sync".
#Email setup (LiteShop team)
Emails come from LiteShop's sender address. Until the LiteShop team has set up email, emails wait ("Email isn't set up yet") and codes still show on the order page, the receipt link and the printed receipt. In Transactions, a sale with digital items shows the email status; Email failed – resend sends it again, also to a corrected address. Email receipt (Plus and up) emails any receipt.
If an address doesn't exist (the email bounced) or the customer marks the email as spam (Marked as spam), you get an alert, and LiteShop stops emailing that address for your shop (Email blocked for this address) — check the address with the customer and use another one. Email delivered means the customer's mail server accepted it.
#Refunds and voids
Refunding or voiding a sale does not take back the code by itself.
- Open the sale in Transactions → Digital items → Details.
- Tap Revoke codes.
- Keep Put unseen codes back in stock on to reuse codes the customer never saw (not shown, emailed or printed).
#Security
- Codes are encrypted (AES-256) as soon as they reach LiteShop; the key is kept outside the database.
- Nobody can read codes from the database, not even owners. Lists show them hidden; Show codes (owners and managers, for support) is written to the digital goods log.
- Customers see their codes only with their receipt link or order code, a limited number of times per hour.
- Each code is sold once, even when two registers sell the last code at the same moment.
