Notifications

Get new online orders, payments to check, low stock, refunds, the daily report and plan reminders as push notifications on your phone or computer, in Telegram, and on the Alerts page.

On this page

LiteShop tells you when something happens in your shop, even when the app is closed: a new online order, a payment screenshot to check, an item running low, a refund, the daily report. Each person chooses what they get and where.

There are three places alerts arrive:

  • Alerts page: every alert appears under Recent notifications (owners and managers). The badge on Alerts shows how many are new.
  • Push notifications: pop up on your phone or computer, even when LiteShop is closed. Every plan.
  • Telegram: messages from the LiteShop bot in your Telegram. Plus, Pro and Ultra.

Open the settings from Settings → Notifications (owners), or from the account menu (your name) → Notifications (everyone, also managers and cashiers).

#Push notifications on this device

When to use: to hear about new orders on the phone or computer you use for the shop.

  1. Open Notifications (account menu, or Settings → Notifications).
  2. Under This device, turn on Push notifications on this device.
  3. When the phone or browser asks, tap Allow.
  4. Tap Send test notification to check it works.

Turn it on on every phone or computer that should ring. Each device has its own switch; turning it off on one device doesn't change the others.

  • Android app: Android 13 and newer ask for permission the first time.
  • Web (pos.liteshop.app in Chrome, Edge or Firefox): works while the browser is running, also with the LiteShop tab closed.
  • iPhone and iPad (web): first add LiteShop to the Home Screen (Share → Add to Home Screen), open it from there, then turn push on.

#Telegram

When to use: when you live in Telegram, or want alerts on a second phone without installing LiteShop.

  1. Open Notifications.
  2. Under Telegram, tap Connect Telegram.
  3. Telegram opens the LiteShop bot. Tap Start.
  4. Come back to LiteShop: it shows Connected to Telegram.

The link works once and only for 10 minutes. To stop, tap Disconnect, or send /stop to the bot. Each person connects their own Telegram; LiteShop never sends customers' phone numbers to Telegram.

With Telegram connected, each alert in What to tell me gets a Telegram switch next to Push. The Daily report sends its whole summary to Telegram.

#What to tell me

Choose push, Telegram or both for each kind of alert:

AlertWhenWho can get it
New online ordersa customer orders on your website or the marketplaceeveryone
Paymentsa payment screenshot to check, cash on delivery chosen, a payment link paid, a customer late paying their crediteveryone
Low stockan item drops to its low-stock level (once a day per item)owners, managers
Refunds and voidssomeone refunds or voids a saleowners, managers
Daily reportthe closing report of the day is readyowners, managers
Plan remindersyour plan ends soon or has endedowners, managers
Things to checkoffline sales with problems, fake payment screenshots, over a credit limitowners, managers
Digital goodsdigital orders to deliver, codes running low, emails that failedowners, managers

At first, owners and managers get everything and cashiers get only new online orders. You don't get a notification for something you did yourself (for example your own refund).

With more than one shop, Shops lets you get only the alerts of your shops.

#Quiet hours

When to use: so your phone stays quiet at night.

  1. Open Notifications.
  2. Turn on Quiet at night.
  3. Change From and To if you like (shop time).

During quiet hours there are no push notifications, and Telegram messages arrive without sound. Everything still appears on the Alerts page.

#Windows computers

Windows can't receive push notifications from LiteShop. While LiteShop is open (even in the background), new alerts pop up at the bottom of the app and the LiteShop button in the taskbar blinks. To get alerts while the computer is off, turn on push on your phone, or connect Telegram.

#Troubleshooting

  • No notifications at all: tap Send test notification. If nothing arrives, turn push off and on again, and check that notifications for LiteShop (or the browser) are allowed in the phone's settings.
  • "Notifications are blocked": you tapped Block once. Allow notifications for LiteShop in the browser's site settings or the phone's app settings, then turn push on again.
  • "Push notifications for the web app aren't set up yet": LiteShop is still turning on web push. Use the Android app or Telegram until then.
  • Telegram doesn't connect: the link is for one use within 10 minutes. Tap Connect Telegram again and press Start in Telegram.
  • Telegram stopped: if you block the bot, LiteShop disconnects it. Connect again.
  • Too many alerts: switch off the ones you don't need in What to tell me, or turn on Quiet at night.
