Scan purchase receipts

Take photos of a supplier's receipt or invoice; LiteShop reads the supplier, items, quantities, prices and what you still owe, and fills the purchase for you to check.

On this page

When goods arrive, you don't have to type every line of the supplier's receipt. Take photos of it: LiteShop reads it (printed or handwritten, English or Myanmar), matches the supplier and your items, and fills Record purchase. You check the yellow and red fields and save. The photos are kept with the purchase.

Scanning is part of purchases (the Plus plan and up). See Suppliers & purchases for the purchase form itself.

#Scan a receipt

When to use: a supplier hands you a receipt, invoice or delivery note with the goods.

  1. Open Items → ⋮ → Scan purchase receipt (or Record purchase → Scan receipt).
  2. Tap Take photo for each page of the receipt, top to bottom (up to 6), or Choose photos from the phone or computer.
  3. Tap Read receipt. Reading takes about 10–30 seconds.

#Check what was read

The photos are shown next to what LiteShop read. Tap a line to see where it is on the photo.

  • Yellow fields were hard to read, or two readers disagreed: check them.
  • Red means the numbers don't add up (for example 2 × 18,500 is not 38,000) or the invoice is already recorded.
  • Supplier: pick the supplier, or tap Add … as a supplier for a new one.
  • Each line shows the item it matched. Tap it to Pick item from the suggestions, choose New item (you fill in its details when you save), or turn on Skip for lines you don't want.
  • When the receipt counts in boxes, bags or dozens, set 1 box = how many pcs? once — LiteShop converts the quantity and the price to your stock unit. Weights (kg, viss, ticals) are converted for items sold by weight.
  • Paid now: what you paid the supplier today. The rest is owed to the supplier (see Payables).

Tap Fill purchase. The purchase form opens with everything filled in; landed cost, batches and expiry work as usual. Nothing is saved until you tap Save purchase.

#LiteShop learns your suppliers

When you correct a line ("ဆန်အိတ်" is Paw San Rice 5kg) or set a pack size, LiteShop remembers it for that supplier. The next receipt from them is matched automatically.

To see or undo what was learned: Record purchase → Scanned receipts → Learned names, pick the supplier, and tap the bin next to a name or pack size.

Scanned receipts also lists receipts you read but didn't save yet — tap one to continue. Unsaved scans and their photos are deleted after 7 days.

#How many receipts

Each plan reads a number of receipts a month (Free 10, Plus 100, Pro 250, Ultra 500 — see Plans). Settings → Plan shows how many you used. A scan that couldn't be read is not counted, and Add pages on the same receipt is free. When the month's scans are used up you can still type a purchase in by hand.

#Privacy

Only the receipt photos and their text are sent to the reader (Google Cloud Vision and Gemini; Claude when LiteShop turns on a second check). They are not used to train anything and not shared with other shops. Photos and readings belong to your shop: only your team can see them.
