Price lists (wholesale prices)

Give wholesale buyers, resellers or VIP customers their own prices. Pick a list on the customer, and checkout uses it automatically — with quantity breaks, a minimum order and clear rules for discounts.

On this page

A price list is a second set of prices for some of your customers: "Wholesale", "Reseller", "VIP". Give a customer a list once, and every time you pick that customer at checkout the cart re-prices by itself. Each line then shows "Wholesale price" with the normal (retail) price struck through.

Price lists are on the Pro plan and up (see Plans).

#Make a price list

  1. Open Items → ⋮ → Price lists (owners and managers).
  2. Tap New price list and give it a name, like Wholesale.
  3. Set the prices in one or both ways: - % off retail for every item, or for a whole category (next section); - Item prices: a fixed price for an item or one variant (see Item prices).
  4. Tap Save.

A list that is off keeps its prices, but customers on it pay retail until you switch it on again. Deleting a list sends its customers back to retail prices; past sales keep the prices they were sold at.

#% off retail

  • Every item: for example 5 — every item is 5% below its retail price.
  • % off a category: for example "Drinks 20%". A category's % wins over the "every item" %.

The price is rounded to whole kyats. Items that are already cheaper for big quantities (an item's own quantity prices) start from that lower price.

#Item prices

Tap Add item price, pick the item (or one of its variants) and type its price. A fixed price wins over the % off.

  • An item price is for the item and all its variants. Add a variant row to price one variant differently, for example "Shirt · XL".
  • A list never charges more than retail: if a list price is higher than the retail price, the customer pays retail.
  • The item editor shows what every list charges for that item — tap a list there to change its price.

Items that are sold by weight take a price per kg (or their unit), for example "Rice 2,600 Ks per kg".

#Quantity breaks

Add rows with a From quantity for bigger orders:

FromPrice each
14,600 Ks
104,500 Ks
504,300 Ks

12 bags are 4,500 Ks each; 60 bags are 4,300 Ks each. The quantity of the cart line counts (the weight for sold-by-weight items). The server checks the quantity again when you charge, so a break can never be given for fewer items.

#Minimum order

Set Minimum order (for example 100,000 Ks) when wholesale prices are only for big orders. Below it the whole cart stays at retail prices, and the cart shows "Wholesale prices from 100,000 Ks. Add 20,000 Ks more." The minimum counts the catalog items at the list's prices, before discounts.

#Give a customer a list

  1. Open Customers and the customer → Edit.
  2. Pick the list in Price list and save.

Only owners and managers can change a customer's price list (it is a price). Cashiers see it, and it applies automatically.

#At checkout

  • Pick a customer with a list: the cart re-prices at once. Lines show "Wholesale price 5,000 → 4,600", and the bar under the customer shows "Price list: Wholesale · Saves 5,600 Ks".
  • Change on that bar picks another list for this sale, or Retail prices. Owners and managers can pick any list; cashiers only the customer's own list and lists with Cashiers can pick this list on.
  • A price changed by a manager stays as typed. Keypad amounts and gift cards are never re-priced.
  • Online orders you ring up keep the price the customer saw online (no list). The website always shows retail prices — a separate "wholesale login" for the website is not part of price lists.
  • Receipts show "Wholesale price · retail 5,000 Ks" under each list-priced line, also the receipt link and emails.

The register works out the prices, and the server works them out again when you charge. If they don't match (for example, the list changed a minute ago), you see "Prices changed — please review."

#What a list combines with

Each list has three switches (under Rules):

SwitchStartsWhen off
Promotions also applyOffList-priced lines get no promotion and no item discount. Other lines in the same cart still do.
Coupons can be usedOnA coupon is refused while the list prices the cart.
Membership discount tooOffA member on this list gets the list price only — the membership discount is not added.

A manual discount by an owner or manager can always be added. The list replaces the retail price first; everything else works on the list price.

#CSV import and export

In the list editor:

  • Export CSV downloads the list's prices (columns item_id, item, variant_id, variant, price, min_qty). A new list exports every item with an empty price column — a template.
  • Import CSV reads that file back (upload it, or paste its text). Items are matched by item_id, else barcode / SKU, else the exact name. min_qty 1 (or empty) is the list price; more is a quantity break. A price of 0 removes that row.

Rows that don't match are listed so you can fix them. Nothing is saved until you tap Save.

Send to customer from a cart with a list keeps the list prices: the link is locked at the prices the customer was shown, and the sale is saved with the list's name when they pay.

#Reports

Reports → Sales → Sales by price list shows the sales of each list (after discounts) next to retail sales, once a sale used a list.

#Plans

Price lists are on Pro, Ultra and Enterprise. After a plan goes back to a smaller one, your lists and customer picks are kept, and checkout charges retail prices until you upgrade again. You can switch Price lists off in Settings → Features — checkout then charges retail prices too.
